This innovative alliance combines Howrey’s expertise in eDiscovery and complex litigation – including legal and technical oversight of the client’s electronically stored information (ESI) preservation – with Guidance Software’s industry-leading EnCase® eDiscovery solution, which enables companies to search, identify, collect, and process ESI from servers, laptops and work stations across their global network from a central location.

Howrey’s decision to standardize EnCase eDiscovery represents a major departure from the traditional but expensive route practiced by most law firms of hiring third party service providers to perform costly eDiscovery collection and processing. This offering will address some of the significant issues associated with using outside vendors to provide eDiscovery.

Howrey will offer the firm’s clients the ability to conduct ESI collections of any size and scope using EnCase® technology across the company’s network, overseen by Howrey’s lawyers and eDiscovery project managers, ensuring defensible processes using the industry-standard technology.
